Wild Rift is the largest offline event nationwide held annually for the game Teamfight Tactics (TFT). In its second year, the event, organized in collaboration with Riot Games and VNGGames, took place on August 9-10 at Nguyen Du Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. This was not only a kickoff celebration for Season 15 of TFT but also an opportunity for the Vietnamese gaming community to compete for a spot at the TFT Paris Open 2025 at the end of this year.

After two days of intense competition, the Wild Rift event has crowned its champions for Season 2. In the Mainquest Duos category, YBY1 and MidFeed emerged as the standout duo among 68 pairs of competitors, taking home a prize of 10 million VND. Not stopping there, player YBY1 also excelled in winning the Mainquest Individual title on the following competition day, overcoming 255 remaining competitors to claim a prize of 40 million VND and a spot representing Vietnam in the TFT Paris Open 2025 in France.

This achievement marks the first time in the history of Wild Rift that a player has won all available titles. YBY1 (real name Bùi Tuấn Kiên, 2004) is also recognized as the “golden boy” of Vietnamese esports, having participated in three World Championship finals for TFT, securing third place twice.

Prior to the recent Wild Rift event, YBY1 was already well-known in the Vietnamese and global TFT community. With intelligent strategic thinking, along with strong information synthesis and situational handling skills, YBY1 has brought fame to Vietnamese TFT on the international stage, notably at last year’s World Championship where he finished third overall.

In addition to providing an exciting esports experience that connects the passionate TFT community in Vietnam, Wild Rift Season 2 also attracted considerable attention from fans through various activities such as experiencing Sidequest competitions, participating in engaging minigames, and collecting a plethora of valuable, exclusive rewards from TFT and its sponsors. The event’s extension to more than one day compared to Season 1 also increased participation opportunities for gamers from all over the country.

Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is a strategic game developed by Riot Games and officially published in Vietnam by VNGGames since November 2023. The game quickly created a “fever” in the Vietnamese gaming scene, attracting millions of players of all ages. Furthermore, TFT is progressively being developed into a leading esports discipline in Vietnam, with a professional tournament system attracting over 6,000 registrants for national qualifiers since the beginning of 2024 to compete for spots in regional and international TFT tournaments.

Wild Rift Season 2 is not just an event or a tournament – it is a true celebration for the TFT enthusiasts! To stay updated on the latest information about the TFT esports system, you can follow here.
