HLE in Trouble is an Opportunity for T1 to Surge in the LCK 2025 Rounds 3-5
After concluding the 12th week of the domestic LCK tournament, three teams have secured their playoff spots, namely Gen.G, HLE, and T1. This outcome was predictable for fans as these three names have shown overwhelming performance. However, the rest of the season is far from over, and T1 and HLE are fiercely competing for the second place in the standings. Therefore, this 13th week of play could significantly influence the final outcome of the group stage.

Accordingly, T1 may have the upper hand, as they only have to face an unstable KT heavily reliant on Bdd before the major clash with HLE. Meanwhile, the reigning champions First Stand will have to encounter two very strong opponents, namely T1 and Gen.G this week. This will also be the toughest week of the second half for HLE, as any slip-up could immediately cost them their position to T1 if Faker and his teammates achieve a clean sweep.
However, one factor that HLE can “cling” to is that T1 often has a habit of “testing champions,” experimenting with strategies to prepare for the playoffs. In many recent seasons, after achieving their important objectives, T1 players tend to play very comfortably and it’s not uncommon for them to bring out many “strange” strategies as the playoff stage is much more crucial.

Meanwhile, teams like Gen.G, DK, and KT will also have a challenging schedule. Gen.G continues to demonstrate a devastating performance and effectively capitalizes on their opponents’ mistakes while DK has advanced to the Playins. The remaining spots will be a battle among KT, NS, and BNK FearX, OKBRO to salvage their entire season, although these teams are all currently in inconsistent form.
