This morning, Dignitas surprisingly announced that the young talent of team hallzerk will not be able to participate in the first season of the FLASHPOINT league due to visa issues.
This will certainly be a significant loss for Dignitas as the 19-year-old star has contributed greatly to the team’s success, especially in helping them secure a spot at the European Minor at the end of April with an impressive rating of 1.24.

In this announcement, Dignitas revealed that the stand-in for the team will be GuardiaN, the legendary AWP-er from Slovakia. GuardiaN has been sitting on the bench of Na`vi since late January 2020 after a series of disappointing LAN tournaments, but we can somewhat empathize as during that time, the 28-year-old AWP-er was suffering from arteriosclerosis and psychological pressure that adversely affected his performance.
Another interesting fun fact is that with GuardiaN joining the team, the average age of Dignitas members is now 29 years old, which is quite high and very rare in CS:GO history. Hopefully, GuardiaN will perform well while wearing the Dignitas jersey and this will be a stepping stone for him to regain his form and return to the professional scene.

Thus, Dignitas’s lineup for FLASHPOINT will be:
Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund
Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg
Richard “Xizt” Landström
Adam “friberg” Friberg
Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács (stand-in)
Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson (coach)
Not only are we about to witness the return of the “hero”, but last night, fans of the Golden Dragon were also thrilled as Na`vi officially surpassed Astralis to hold the #1 spot on the prestigious HLTV rankings.
This is the second time in history that the CIS-based team has achieved this feat, previously accomplishing it in 2016 with two consecutive second-place finishes at the MLG Columbus Major and DreamHack Masters Malmo; however, they only held this position for 3 weeks before being dethroned by Luminosity.

However, the Golden Dragon fans should not be too jubilant as the gap between Na`vi and Astralis is only 6 points, and next week both teams will begin their journey to conquer the ESL Pro League Season 11 trophy, the next S-tier tournament this year.
With a total prize pool of $750,000 and the participation of numerous top-tier teams, this promises to be a month of “living and breathing CS” for fans. Gamek will continuously update all information on major tournaments as well as hot news in the CS:GO scene, so stay tuned!
