Moments ago, Optimus – the former captain of Team Flash officially announced the formation of his own League of Legends team, named Overpower Esports. At the same time, the 10 billion professor also posted recruitment information for professional player, coach, and analyst positions for the new team.

The selection criteria for OP Esports players are quite strict, prioritizing candidates with professional experience or those ranked in the top 100 Challenger or above. This indicates that this will be a team that is heavily invested and highly ambitious. It’s understandable, given Optimus’s personality, that he wouldn’t form a team just for fun.
Just look at how Optimus built Sky Gaming from a failed promotion team into a new powerhouse in the VCS just last season, and you can clearly understand the “try-hard” direction of this former player (now perhaps a team owner).
Recently, coach Tinikun hinted at information regarding Optimus’s new team formation by posting a photo of the “Professor” signing a “10 billion” contract. Initially, some opinions suggested that Tinikun’s post was to imply that Optimus was signing with GAM; however, he quickly denied this during a stream, confirming the upcoming establishment of a League of Legends team competing in VCSB.

Optimus has long been one of the most beloved players in the Vietnamese League of Legends community. His announcement to leave Team Flash and even take a break from competition left many fans disappointed.
Therefore, when news about Optimus’s preparation to establish a new team – Overpower Esports was announced, many fans expressed their support for this comeback. In fact, many players humorously commented: “I’m not skilled enough to compete, just let me wash instant noodles!”

Currently, it is unclear what role Optimus will take on in Overpower Esports – owner, coach, or even as a player, but his return is sure to bring many exciting developments to the Vietnamese League of Legends tournament system. Hopefully, OP Esports will soon achieve good results in VCSB to make an early debut in VCS.
