The core idea of this upgrade is to help you accumulate a large amount of gold even when you are at a disadvantage in terms of income compared to other players. If you have this augment, don’t hold onto your gold in the early game; instead, utilize the economy from Poor Household to level up as quickly as possible, for example, reaching level 4 by round 2-1 and level 5 by round 2-2.
The reason for this playstyle is that you will face many disadvantages compared to other players when holding onto gold. Therefore, players must spend money early to level up and increase the chances of obtaining 2-3 gold 2-star units early, thus building a win streak to preserve health. Because of leveling up to level 5 and 6 early, the best playstyle when having this augment in Teamfight Tactics is to reroll for strong 2 gold carries like Tristana, Katarina, and Trundle.
Spacious
In complete contrast to Poor Household, Spacious is an augment geared towards a playstyle focused on holding gold and leveling up consistently. The goal of players using this augment is to reach level 8 as quickly as possible and then “turn the tables” with strong 4 or 5 gold carries like Jhin, Fiora, Yone, Galio, and Kai’Sa… Typically, when using the Spacious augment, you will have to take a losing streak, losing a lot of health, thus increasing your chances of obtaining the items and units you need in the shared draft round.
As mentioned above, the most suitable team composition for this playstyle is those that utilize many 4-5 gold units, allowing players to leverage their level advantage. The Kai’Sa, Viktor, and Akali team combined with the 3 Legend threshold is the optimal strategy with the Spacious augment, enabling you to roll for 5-cost units early on. Additionally, the Jhin – Guardian composition is also a good option as many key units in this composition cost 4 gold.
Natural Evolution
Although this augment operates similarly to Spacious, they are actually completely opposite in nature. Since you cannot use gold to buy experience, players utilizing the Natural Evolution augment will typically be the ones leveling to 8 the slowest. This makes it rare for you to roll for the units you want since it is highly likely that opponents have already leveled up and rolled for the hot units before you.
Therefore, you need to find ways to leverage the greatest strength of this augment, which is to help players level up to 6 and 7 as quickly as possible. With the accumulated gold from not having to buy experience, you should aim to roll for strong 2-3 gold 3-star carries to take advantage of staying at level 7 for a long time. The Mutant composition with Malzahar and Cho’Gath as carries is a great option for players with the Natural Evolution augment. Additionally, you can apply it to a Challenger composition with Samira as the carry.
