Dragon Claw
One reason most Teamfight Tactics players tend to overlook crafting Dragon Claw is that this item provides less magic resistance than Dragon’s Claw. The 15% reduction in magic damage taken from Dragon Claw is clearly not comparable to the 200 magic resistance from Dragon’s Claw. Additionally, other items crafted from Shadow Silver Cloak, such as Runaan’s Shadow Hurricane, Bloodthirster, or Shadow Lightning Bow, are often preferred by players over Dragon Claw.

However, we need to remember that Dragon Claw also has an additional effect that grants immunity to bonus damage from critical strike attacks. With the increasing popularity of items like Guardian’s Glove and Risky Gloves on champions like Vel’Koz, Karma, and Teemo, the aforementioned effect of Dragon Claw becomes very important in the late game. Therefore, if you are facing compositions that deal heavy magic damage, you should consider building Dragon Claw for your tank, or even for your carry.
Giant Slayer of Evil
With components including B.F. Sword and Wooden Bow (both standard and Shadow versions), very few players think about crafting Giant Slayer of Evil early. Items like Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, and Runaan’s Hurricane (both standard and Shadow versions) are prioritized by players when they have these valuable components. However, with the Requiem composition still being prevalent in the meta, Giant Slayer of Evil is actually a very strong item that you should consider building.

For supportive and control units like Warwick, Thresh, or Viktor, the Requiem team can easily fall into damage shortage in the mid-game. If you keep building according to the Infinity Edge – Blue Bow formula for a 1-star Draven, the unit won’t be able to “carry the team”. At that point, Giant Slayer of Evil is a very effective way to improve damage output, always providing the champion with 50% bonus damage against units with over 1100 health.
Shadow Cloak of Silence
The biggest downside of this item is that it also increases the energy used by allied units’ abilities. This makes Shadow Cloak of Silence rarely used to avoid accidentally “messing up the team”. However, it is actually a very powerful item as Shadow Cloak of Silence currently ranks among the top 3 items with the best average position. When used correctly, Shadow Cloak of Silence will give players a huge advantage to defeat opponents.

It is advised that you should build this item for champions that can move freely. You should also place the unit holding Shadow Cloak of Silence away from the main formation to avoid increasing energy usage for allies. Even if the effect of this item only targets a few frontline champions, it can still give you an advantage. You should consider building this item if you lack magic resistance items and are facing many champions with strong abilities.
