There’s no denying that the hyper-roll playstyle is proving to be exceptionally effective in the current Teamfight Tactics meta, enabling your composition to feature many 3-star champions and snowball the game at a rapid pace. Moreover, it beats most other popular styles such as slow roll, power leveling before players reach the necessary level or strong champions.
However, the issue here is that not every 1-cost champion can be hyper-rolled, and popular compositions like Shredder (hyper-roll Xayah) or Ziggs bomb rain are well-known, making it difficult to play a composition without facing competition for champions. For this reason, a gamer has discovered a new hyper-roll strategy using Caitlyn to leverage the power of this playstyle while facing less competition.

The strategy of this composition is to find a way to level Caitlyn to 3 stars as soon as possible. You can apply the basic hyper-roll strategy of not leveling up at all and going all-in with all your gold in round 3-1 to acquire this crucial piece. To boost Caitlyn’s damage, you need Twisted Fate to activate Chrono and add any Mage unit to enhance her skill damage.

After achieving Caitlyn 3 stars, you’ll enter the mid-game phase, and what you need to do now is find a stable way to level up while adding decent defensive combos like Neeko combined with Jarvan IV or Karma to protect your carry. If you’re lucky, you may upgrade your 3-cost units to 3 stars; if not, you can settle for level 2 stars.

By the late game, adding damage is crucial to take down some overly tanky enemies. Jhin is the perfect choice to activate Marksman while combining with Karma and Jarvan IV to gain additional damage from Shadow. Soraka is also a strong option in the late game, providing good defensive capabilities and high versatility.

In fact, this composition has a relatively simple approach to buying champions, but the hardest part is finding the right items for the composition. The carry Caitlyn has a quite different build compared to usual, using a combination of Infinity Edge and Runaan’s Hurricane to quickly take down enemies and stack damage from the latter item as fast as possible. Caitlyn’s defensive item will be either Quicksilver or Guardian Angel, aimed at allowing her to shoot freely.

The two champions that need items in this composition are Jarvan IV and Neeko. Given that the Guardian trait doesn’t provide much defense, you have to use items to compensate for this shortcoming. Therefore, items like Dragon’s Claw, Thornmail, or Blood Armor are necessary to make your frontline sturdier. As for Neeko, a Spark of Lightning to add extra damage is also a good choice.
