Vietnam All-Stars Deliver the Most Impressive Performance at KeSPA Cup 2024
It can be said that the opening day of Group B at the KeSPA Cup 2024 brought many surprises for Vietnamese LoL fans. The Vietnam All-Stars team, which was rated the weakest in the group, achieved a dramatic victory against T1’s substitute lineup. Notably, this lineup still included 2 key players who just won the 2024 World Championship: Gumayusi and Oner.

Following that, in the match against Gen.G, although the opponent deployed a lineup that can be considered quite strong with the participation of 4 out of 5 members of their main team, Vietnam All-Stars still went head-to-head evenly. However, the Gen.G version that faced Vietnam All-Stars was still too strong, and they easily secured victory after about 35 minutes of play.
T1 Hits Rock Bottom on Opening Day of KeSPA Cup 2024
With a surprising defeat against Vietnam All-Stars, it was not hard to predict that T1 would not achieve a single victory on opening day, and the reality proved this. With the 2024 World Champion sending only 2 players to participate this time, alongside Poby from the Challengers team and 2 members from the Academy, T1 was unable to withstand the 3 out of 5 members from HLE’s main team. Grizzly himself had previously played in the LCK, and only Rooster was a new face.
In the match against Gen.G, both Oner and Gumayusi also stepped back to give the stage to their younger teammates. Therefore, it was understandable that T1 finished the first day of competition with 3 losses.
