T1 Prepares for Rematch Against HLE
On September 1st, T1 recorded a relatively easy victory against their opponent DK in the LCK Summer 2024 playoffs. Meanwhile, HLE faced a “well-deserved” defeat against Gen.G in the winners’ finals. These results have set the stage for an eagerly anticipated rematch between T1 and HLE in the upcoming losers’ finals of LCK Summer 2024.

It’s worth noting that in their last encounter, T1 suffered a bitter 0-3 defeat against HLE. This was quite a surprising outcome as T1 typically performs well in Bo5 matches. However, on a day when the players of HLE took turns shining brightly, Faker and his teammates could only accept defeat and seek redemption in the losers’ bracket. In fact, T1’s performance against DK was significantly improved, and they are ready for their upcoming “revenge” against HLE.

Kiin Asserts HLE Will Defeat T1
As for Gen.G, this team continues to show tremendous dominance in the LCK, advancing smoothly through the winners’ bracket to reach the grand finals. Following the match between Gen.G and HLE, the media’s attention turned to who would be the opponent in the upcoming finals. In response to this, Gen.G’s star top laner, Kiin, believes HLE will be their opponent as they can easily defeat T1.
“Based on my observations, HLE is the team with the best chance of reaching the upcoming grand finals. This is due to the fact that in their previous encounter, T1 was convincingly defeated by HLE with a score of 0-3. They (HLE) have also shown a better understanding of the meta of the new patch and have outperformed T1. Therefore, I believe HLE can surpass T1 in the losers’ finals,” Kiin shared after the match.

Kiin’s comments are well-founded as audiences can see that HLE has prepared some interesting strategies for the playoffs of LCK Summer 2024. Notably, they unexpectedly brought back Vladimir Top Lane, making it difficult for Zeus’s Kennen to dominate in the lane phase. Meanwhile, T1 sometimes still makes puzzling draft choices that complicate their situation, such as using Lee Sin, which is no longer prioritized in the current meta.

However, T1 still has a significant opportunity in the upcoming “rematch” against HLE after securing an important victory against DK. This victory will likely boost the morale of the T1 team considerably. Moreover, they also have about a week to thoroughly study the current meta before the losers’ finals take place. Hopefully, T1 will make good use of this time to devise better strategies for the next match and avoid a “clean sweep” like their previous encounter with HLE.
