Just hours ago, Team Flash unexpectedly announced the departure of coach Lieu “Sergh” Nam Loc. This move has left fans of the VCS, and FL in particular, in shock. The reason being that just yesterday, on September 30, the VCS organizers announced the upcoming VCS Winter 2021 tournament following the conclusion of the World Championship. Thus, FL finds itself in a “headless snake” situation right before the final domestic tournament of the 2021 season.

Although they had a poor Spring 2021 season (finishing only 6th) and were lucky enough not to be in the relegation battle, it is understandable that this was due to some key players losing their form, alongside the addition of new talent Meliodas. While FL has weakened significantly compared to their championship performance in VCS Summer 2020, they still remain a force that other teams cannot underestimate in the Vietnamese League of Legends arena.
Nevertheless, FL decided to “execute a general” right before VCS Winter 2021. This will certainly bring many challenges for FL, and could even pull their performance down, as it is currently very difficult to find a coach capable of steering this ship, especially since coach Sergh has been with FL for a long time and has shaped the playstyle of the players in his coaching fashion.

As for coach Sergh, he has yet to make any moves regarding his future destination. There are many opinions hoping that coach Sergh will join SBTC Esports, as he shares a close relationship with the members there, including Teacher Ba. Many believe that if Sergh joins the coaching staff, he and coach Violet could lead SE to titles, having achieved this twice in 2020.
However, regardless of what the future holds for FL and coach Sergh, the upcoming transfer market in the VCS region will undoubtedly be very interesting with unpredictable developments that could impact the entire next season.
