Recently, Riot released the theme song MV for the 2021 Worlds – Burn It All Down, which received numerous mixed reactions from the League of Legends community. The majority of opinions suggested that the animation effects of the song were very good, even surpassing some previous MVs. However, the song still had many limitations, such as trying to cram too much in, leading to some key figures of the 2021 Worlds not having enough screen time, like Faker (only appearing as a poster) and Doinb (only having a 1-second glimpse)…
Meanwhile, the main characters chosen for the MV by Riot are ShowMaker, JackeyLove, and Rekkles, of which 2 out of 3 could not participate in the 2021 Worlds. While Rekkles has yet to respond, JackeyLove, upon watching the clip on his stream channel, could not hide his sadness and regret.
“The MV is really beautifully made, with elaborate special effects, but perhaps they didn’t expect us to be in this situation, unable to attend the Worlds. I was already very disappointed not to be able to go to the Worlds, but I feel even more regretful after watching this MV.”

It can be said that Top Esports’ inability to participate in the 2021 Worlds was a huge surprise for LPL fans in particular and the League of Legends community in general. This is a roster that boasts incredibly strong names like Karsa, knight, and JackeyLove. However, it is also necessary to acknowledge the reality that, in the last season, especially in the Summer Split, TES was not themselves. After the group stage, TES fell out of the top 4 and lost to LNG Esports in the playoffs, resulting in them missing out on a ticket to the 2021 Worlds, concluding a season with no trophies in both domestic and international competitions.
Furthermore, JackeyLove is one of the names that has faced quite a bit of criticism as he was unable to share the burden with knight. Fans even mocked TES as knight Esports because they continuously relied on their mid-laner to “carry the team”, especially in crucial matches.

In the upcoming 2022 season, TES must quickly rectify both their skills and performance if they do not want to continue being a team with many stars but struggling results.
