The World Championship (Worlds) has always been one of the most important events for the League of Legends community. This is where the strongest teams in the world compete to find the most deserving champion of the season. Therefore, any organizational mistakes are not overlooked by fans in this tournament.

However, as of now in the 2022 Worlds, game bugs have continuously appeared, leaving fans extremely disappointed. The latest incident involves a significant bug during the match between Fnatic and EDward Gaming, which spared Razork, the LEC representative’s jungler, from being taken down.
Specifically, when Fnatic attacked EDG’s bottom duo, their Support player Hylissang was taken down by the turret, while the other two members continued to focus on Viper. Under normal circumstances, the turret on EDG’s side would switch to attack Razork (who was dealing damage to Viper). However, due to the game bug, EDG’s turret targeted minions instead, allowing Razork to escape safely.

If Razork had been attacked by the turret in that situation, Fnatic would have likely lost another kill, completely disrupting their early game strategy. Although Fnatic ultimately lost to EDward Gaming, this team could have been annihilated much quicker if it weren’t for the aforementioned bug.

What is concerning is that this bug has existed since June 2021, yet Riot Games has not fixed it to this day. The consequence is that it has impacted a critical match at the 2022 Worlds and left many viewers feeling disappointed.
Conclusion
Even before the 2022 Worlds took place, many predicted that this tournament could become a “disaster” due to game bugs. And indeed, this is becoming more accurate than ever as game bugs have appeared too frequently, even though the Group Stage of the 2022 Worlds has yet to conclude.
