In the quarterfinal match against Royal Never Give Up at the World Championship (Worlds) 2022, T1 achieved a convincing victory. Not only did they completely dominate the LPL representative, Faker and his teammates also displayed an excellent performance. With what they showcased against RNG, many fans League of Legends (LoL) are confident that T1 will be one of the top contenders for the championship at this year’s Worlds.

One of the most crucial factors in T1’s recent success is undoubtedly Zeus. Not only at Worlds 2022, but throughout the season so far, T1’s Zeus has shown tremendous form even though this is his first official season. Due to Zeus’s importance, RNG continuously targeted this player, especially in the second game of the recent quarterfinals.

In the second game, Zeus played Jayce against Breathe’s Fiora from RNG. Notably, Zeus consistently fell behind as his opponent had an advantage in champion strength and was frequently supported by teammates. However, towards the end of the match, Zeus’s Jayce was still one of the highest damage dealers on both teams, even nearly doubling the damage output of RNG’s Fiora.

In the post-match interview, Zeus shared that it was Burdol from DWG KIA (DK) who helped him practice for facing Fiora. Zeus said: “Before the quarterfinals began, I asked Burdol to help me practice. Burdol is a close friend of mine and he has played a lot of Fiora. So I experimented with many champions to counter Fiora. There are several champions that can play against Fiora besides Jayce, but I feel most confident with Jayce. Therefore, I decided to choose Jayce.”

Zeus also admitted that Breathe is truly exceptional and made things very difficult for him throughout the match. Although Zeus was initially confident, he was increasingly surprised by Breathe’s handling skills. “Fortunately, my teammates played well and prolonged the match long enough for me to reach my power spike,” Zeus shared.

In the upcoming match, Zeus and T1 will face JD Gaming, a much stronger opponent than RNG. Zeus himself will meet the player 369 – a highly skilled name from LPL right now. It will be an incredibly challenging match, and the duel between Zeus and 369 could very well determine the outcome of this game.
