In the history of League of Legends (LoL), Uzi is known as an outstanding marksman but has been unlucky with major titles. Competing professionally since 2013, it wasn’t until MSI 2018 that Uzi finally secured his first international championship. Even by the time he retired, Uzi had never once won a World Championship.

Perhaps because of such a troubled career, Uzi understands very well the feeling of defeat that his compatriots at RNG are going through. Specifically, in the second quarterfinal match of the 2022 World Championship, RNG completely fell to T1 with a score of 0-3. While watching this match, Uzi shared that he sympathizes with RNG because he himself has experienced similar defeats.

“It’s really sad to see RNG lose to T1 0-3 like this, I understand better than anyone else how they feel. Do you know how RNG feels right now? It’s a sense of helplessness because they have tried their best but cannot win. It’s like reaching your limits but still unable to defeat the opponent.
I also went through this a long time ago, back when we lost to SKT T1 in 2013 and lost to Samsung White in the 2014 season. At that time, I felt terrible because I had tried my absolute best yet still lost. I hope the RNG players will soon overcome this defeat” – Uzi shared during a live stream.

Indeed, looking back at the match between RNG and T1, the LPL representatives did not perform poorly at all. However, as Uzi pointed out, T1 was simply much stronger than RNG when players like Zeus and Gumayusi were in top form. Meanwhile, the RNG team itself is no longer the best version as it was in the spring split.
