Another week of competition has ended with a loss to OK BRION. This can be considered a rather unfortunate defeat as OKBRO is one of the weakest teams in the LCK currently. Moreover, this loss will prevent the players of T1 from securing a playoff spot anytime soon. More importantly, there will soon be almost no “easy” opponents left for the young T1 squad if Faker does not return.

Speaking after the match, Zeus admitted that this is perhaps the most challenging phase of his career since he started. Zeus stated that when he was promoted to the first team, his senior teammates provided the best conditions for him to play comfortably. Therefore, when facing challenging situations like the current one, Zeus feels somewhat shocked and has not been able to deliver his best performance.

However, it is worth mentioning that Zeus also admitted that the absence of Poby or Faker’s injury is not the main issue. The weaknesses and problems of T1 existed even before Faker’s injury, and the absence of the legendary captain has only intensified these issues to the point of exploding, leading to T1’s losing streak.

Zeus also shared one of the biggest issues: “We used to play as a team and found different ways to create breakthroughs. But currently, we can no longer do that. We are also unable to do what is necessary to win. We can’t even maintain our advantages, and mistakes keep piling up. I feel like we have all gotten worse. Even the champions in the current meta are not ones we are comfortable with.” Additionally, T1’s top laner admitted that even when Faker returns, the players themselves must improve first.

Clearly, Zeus’s comments make sense as people no longer see T1 as the undefeated team or at least one that only lost once in the LCK Spring 2023 group stage. Currently, T1 is an extremely fragile team, easily defeated by any opponent. They are even not resembling a big team anymore, having held many advantages but not knowing how to close out games with a win. Faker will return soon, as Coach Tom has mentioned. But by then, many fans worry that the spirits of the T1 players may be shattered after the recent consecutive defeats.
