Throughout history, SKT T1/T1 has been one of the most accomplished teams in the LCK region as well as in the world of League of Legends. However, currently, they are going through tough times since Faker had to take a break due to injury. Even teams considered the weakest in the tournament can defeat T1, such as DRX or OK BRION recently.

Of course, Faker’s absence is just one of the factors. The current T1 players also show that they are not without chances to win. However, the experienced T1 players have not been able to capitalize on their advantages. A prime example is in the first game against OKBRO, where T1 lost to their opponent despite leading by 8k gold. Notably, in that match, almost all T1 players were using their signature champions, especially the renowned Jinx – Thresh duo of Gumayusi – Keria.

Recently, fans have also discovered that T1 has reached a very forgettable achievement since parting ways with the SKT T1 brand. Specifically, they have lost 7 matches, matching the record from both the Spring and Summer 2021 group stages. Notably, in those two seasons, T1 had never lost consecutively like this. However, a common point is that the 2021 season marked a decline in Faker’s performance. The Summer 2021 LCK was also one of the rare times Faker had to sit on the bench due to low performance and conflicts with the coach.

Ahead of T1 are still 4 matches in the last 2 weeks, one of which is against KT Rolster. This is a team that is currently very strong and just ended Gen.G’s undefeated streak. Of course, it is possible that by then Faker will have returned, and on a better game day, T1 players may win against KT. However, the possibility that T1 will break the record for the most losses in a group stage in one season is still looming over T1’s young squad, whether or not Faker returns.
