After the second round of the qualifiers concluded, the race for the LCK Summer 2023 title is heating up. The team with the biggest advantage is undoubtedly Gen.G, as they have secured a spot in the Grand Finals after defeating T1. Meanwhile, Faker and his teammates will have to seek another chance in the Lower Bracket Finals against KT Rolster (KT).

From Gen.G’s perspective, it is clear they would prefer to choose a “comfortable” opponent in the upcoming Grand Finals to ensure they secure the title. However, according to insights from head coach Score and Mid Laner Chovy, Gen.G believes that T1 will be their opponent. The members of Gen.G hold T1’s competitive mentality in high regard.
“I believe both KT and T1 have their own advantages in the upcoming Lower Bracket Finals. However, T1 is a team with a very high competitive spirit and often performs well in tense Bo5 matches. This might be their advantage in the upcoming match. I believe T1 has a higher chance of reaching the Grand Finals,” Coach Score shared.

Indeed, when observing T1’s match in the second round, viewers could notice that some KT players had psychological issues in the deciding game. Notably, Kiin had several mistakes in Game 5 that caused his team difficulties and led to their loss shortly after. In contrast, T1’s players showed remarkable “resilience” and maintained stability throughout all 5 games.

Perhaps Gen.G also recognizes this factor, which is why they rate T1 higher than KT in the Lower Bracket Finals. Hopefully, the T1 players will not disappoint their fans or their opponents (Gen.G) and will achieve victory in the upcoming big match.
