The tournament was held at the GEM CENTER event center with an incredibly grand scale, attracting audiences from both domestic and international to cheer for the competing players. The tournament gathered 8 outstanding representatives from the Asia-Pacific region competing to find the top 3 players to participate in the SWC2024 World Final.
Despite facing many challenges in the toughest bracket and having to overcome the obstacle DILIGENT-YC, who was a former world champion and also the 2023 Asia-Pacific Cup champion, PU had a convincing victory in the quarter-finals. Immediately after, PU faced KELIANBAO, who was considered the strongest at the moment and dubbed the king of the recent League of Legends tournaments. However, the Vietnamese player was not overwhelmed at all and dramatically surged ahead with a score of 3-1 amid the excitement and enthusiastic cheers from all the spectators in the auditorium and online.
Striding confidently into the finals, PU successfully took control of the game with very smart calculations that caused the opponent to fall into his trap, winning against Korean player KUROMI also with a score of 3-1.
With this achievement, Vietnamese player PU has excellently surpassed all rivals in the region to hold the prestigious “golden ticket” to the SWC2024 World Final in Japan and earned a cash prize of $10,000 as the champion of the Asia-Pacific Cup SWC2024.
This is also the first time Vietnam has hosted the Asia-Pacific Cup SWC2024, a tournament that has attracted a large number of fans from across the country and neighboring regions to attend. The event dazzled the audience with its grandeur and sophistication, truly deserving of an international-level tournament.
