Top Esports Commentator Puts Faith in GAM for MSI 2025
With less than 24 hours to go, MSI 2025 is set to kick off with the first two matches of the Play-in stage between BLG – GAM and G2 – FUR. While the G2 – FUR match may still hold potential surprises from the representatives of LTA South (South America), the match against BLG – GAM is heavily skewed in favor of the LPL representative. Moreover, this is a best-of-five (BO5), and perhaps no one is confident that GAM can secure a victory against the World Championship runner-up.

However, according to commentator Caedrel – one of the most renowned names in professional League of Legends, he chose the two teams with the best chances to advance as BLG and GAM. Meanwhile, commentator Hoang Luân made a more realistic choice, assessing that the two spots would go to BLG and G2.

VCS Community Reacts Differently to GAM’s Chances at MSI 2025
However, the VCS audience has mixed opinions surrounding these assessments. According to some views, Caedrel may want to apply a “reverse prediction” for G2 rather than support GAM’s advancement. After all, even if GAM could defeat FUR, the gap between GAM and G2 in a BO5 is still significant.
Nevertheless, many people still place their faith in the VCS representative, as GAM has always had acceptable results at MSI 2025. Furthermore, the results at this MSI will not significantly impact the qualification for the World Championship if not in the group of regions that can win. Therefore, with the pressure off, GAM’s potential to achieve miracles is plausible.

But perhaps the VCS audience, and even GAM fans, need to keep their feet on the ground to continue supporting the players regardless of the outcome. With a stage filled with many strong teams, GAM’s efforts will be commendable at this year’s MSI.
