After the first series of matches in the VCS Summer 2020 Promotion Round, both teams from VCS: FTV Esports and OverPower Esports (which acquired the slot from V Gaming Adonis) achieved impressive victories against the lower-ranked teams, QTV Gaming and Percent Esports.
For QTV Gaming, the 0-3 defeat against FTV highlighted their shortcomings in both strength and mentality compared to their opponents. QTV’s squad entered a do-or-die match against Percent Esports, where they had to win to advance, but their performance continued to be a major disappointment for fans.

Throughout the 3 matches, QTV Gaming maintained a relatively favorable position, balancing the advantage against Percent Esports. However, as each match progressed, QTV’s team continuously made mistakes, allowing Percent to take full advantage of the opportunities to eliminate them.
A prime example was in the third match, where QTV had the chance to secure both Baron and Dragon Soul but failed to organize a team fight or push effectively, instead stalling at the Dragon pit and suddenly losing a member. With the advantage in numbers, Percent Esports pushed straight into QTV’s Nexus amid the helplessness of this team.

Losing 0-3, QTV Gaming officially became the first team to bid farewell to the VCS Summer 2020 Promotion Round, thereby also losing the opportunity to participate in Vietnam’s highest League of Legends tournament this summer. The remaining 3 teams, FTV Esports, OverPower Esports, and Percent Esports will continue to compete for 2 spots in the VCS group stage in the remaining 2 matches.
