This Player Is Considered the Reason for HLE’s Failure

One HLE player had a not-so-good performance, if not a very disappointing one.

An HLE player had a very disappointing performance

Entering the finals of the KeSPA Cup 2025, typically, this tournament doesn’t get much attention but this year everything has changed. Simply because T1 and HLE both fielded their strongest lineups. This tournament also serves as a way for fans to gauge the strength of both teams ahead of the upcoming 2026 season. Both T1 and HLE played hard, but among all 10 players, the name that disappointed was none other than Zeka – HLE’s Mid Laner.

HLE lost
HLE lost “with deep respect” in the finals of the KeSPA Cup 2025.

In all 5 games, if we had to find any match where Zeka performed well as expected, it would probably be the game he used Taliyah, while in game 4, Zeka only managed to perform at an average level with the champion Mel. The rest can be summed up in two words: “disappointing”, especially when he used Kassadin – a key champion that scales well into the late game.

Not only could he not play safely, Zeka frequently made inexplicable mistakes. The Mid Lane being completely shut down caused HLE to lose their rhythm even when the other lanes were performing steadily. And when a key champion goes down for the fourth time without any kills, even HLE fans likely understood that their final match was over.

HLE Has a Lot of Work to Do for the New Season

In the KeSPA Cup 2025, HLE may still have many issues, but now that everything is clear, their task is to resolve them. Currently, HLE fans and the League of Legends community in general can accept the reasoning that this lineup has just come together and this is their first official tournament. The lack of cohesion or low performance is something that can be improved. But as a championship contender in every tournament they participate in, HLE must rectify these issues as soon as possible.

The 2026 season will be even more intense. T1 has proven its strength and surely HLE will not have it as easy as they did in the LCK Cup at the beginning of 2025 anymore.
