As of now, the excitement from the final of LCK Spring 2023 has gradually diminished. However, the technical aspects are still being debated. Both LCK teams will participate in the upcoming MSI 2023. And although Gen.G is the champion, the attention is focused more on T1. The reason is the fame of Faker and his teammates, as well as the hope that T1 will end the streak of 4 consecutive runner-up finishes from MSI 2022 to now.

Although they have been performing poorly by consistently “falling at the gates of heaven”, T1 still retains its appeal to the League of Legends community. Specifically, according to statistics from the specialized site Eschart,LCK Spring 2023 has garnered 69 million viewing hours across all broadcasting platforms worldwide (excluding LPL). Of this, the average viewership has consistently hovered around 275k viewers.

Among these, of course, T1 remains the number one “viewership magnet” in the region and the global League of Legends scene. Specifically, the final match between T1 and Gen.G had over 1.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched match in LCK history. Additionally, all five matches with the highest viewership belong to T1. Notably, the epic five-game series between T1 and KT Rolster ranks as the second-highest viewership, just behind the final.

Broadly speaking, within the LCK framework, the final match between T1 and Gen.G in the LCK Spring 2023 tournament also achieved the highest viewership. All five matches on the list featured T1, and four of them were against Gen.G. In other words, for the audience, Gen.G, and not Dplus KIA, is seen as the primary rival, creating the current Super Classic of the LCK.

However, this also highlights the insights of experts regarding the potential peril LCK could face, as T1 and Faker are always the most viewed names, despite the rise of DK and Gen.G. This is clearly a headache for the LCK, especially since Faker is now considered a “veteran” in the League of Legends scene.
