As most fans of VCS in general and many from the League of Legends community worldwide are aware, one of the most shocking incidents of the recent 2021 season was Zeros’ punishment. This is the first time a professional player has been given a global ban by Riot for making inappropriate remarks related to sensitive issues (specifically the Covid-19 pandemic).
With this punishment, Zeros’ career is practically over. Not only is he unable to compete in VCS, but Zeros is also banned from all League of Legends tournaments worldwide, as well as other Riot Esports titles, including League of Legends: Wild Rift, Valorant…

However, recently, the famous streamer Teacher Ba surprisingly mentioned that Zeros could participate in SEA Games 31. Specifically, the former star of SBTC Esports could form a team or join an existing team to compete in the qualifiers representing Vietnam in League of Legends at the upcoming SEA Games 31. The simple reason is that this tournament does not fall under Riot’s jurisdiction. Teacher Ba also stated that as long as the requirements set by Garena are met, even amateur teams or those in VCS B can participate in this qualifier.
Nevertheless, Teacher Ba himself seems reluctant to include Zeros in his team. Besides the fact that the “judge of punishments” himself confirmed this, there are also suspicions that Teacher Ba subtly advised the “Demon King” to establish his own team to participate in the qualifiers for SEA Games 31.
With Teacher Ba’s attitude, it is clear that while many teams can participate, the streamer himself takes this qualifier seriously. Secondly, since Zeros’ punishment from the VCS and Riot, he has not shown a contrite attitude, continually attacking GAM Esports whenever possible. Keeping a “ticking time bomb” in the lineup is too risky. Not to mention, Zeros has been away from the professional scene for too long, and his skill level has certainly declined compared to before.

On the other hand, with Teacher Ba’s confirmation that all VCS A and VCS B teams will participate in the qualifiers, fans of League of Legends in Vietnam may soon witness many intense battles that rival those of the annual official tournaments.
