The National Student Open Cup 2025 (NSOC 2025) has officially kicked off at a press conference held on September 11 in Hanoi. This year, NSOC returns for its second season, organized by Ocean Entertainment Group (OEG), with the total prize value increased to 2 billion VND, competing in two beloved Esports titles: VALORANT and Teamfight Tactics.

Following the resounding success of the inaugural season in 2023, which gathered nearly 1,500 players from 127 universities and colleges, NSOC 2025 promises to create an even more professional and explosive playing field. The tournament will officially open registration on September 11, kick off on September 29, with the National Finals expected to take place in November in the capital, Hanoi.
NSOC 2025 is organized by OEG, under the direction of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, in coordination with BEAT Network, the implementing unit of OEG Studio. The collaboration between OEG and BEAT Network – one of Vietnam’s leading media ecosystems – promises to bring NSOC 2025 to new heights and create a powerful impact.

At this press conference, OEG also announced the roadmap and development plan for the National Student Esports Tournament System for the period 2025 – 2027, aiming to establish NSOC as an annual national Esports tournament, the leading prestigious playground for the Vietnamese student community. Furthermore, during this period, OEG aims to expand the regional tournament system with the participation of students from universities and colleges across Southeast Asia, bringing the Vietnamese student Esports movement into contact with international students. This strategic move affirms OEG’s long-term commitment to accompany students in creating a professional, healthy, and value-rich Esports environment.

Especially within the framework of NSOC 2025, OEG is launching a series of Unitour programs – a journey to connect the national student Esports community at 6 university campuses with the goal of bringing NSOC closer to students nationwide, creating practical and engaging experiences that connect the community. The Unitour program at each campus will include notable activities such as: NSOC 2025 qualifiers; talk shows, career orientation workshops in Gaming – Esports – Technology – AI; interactions with famous players and KOLs, gaming equipment and new technology experience zones; vibrant music and cosplay activities, minigames, and various unique experience activities with countless attractive prizes… etc.
Not only accompanying the student community in creating a professional, civilized, and healthy Esports playground, OEG also offers scholarships to students from difficult backgrounds who achieve excellent results at the 6 Unitour campuses. Additionally, over 3000 AI training scholarships will be awarded to students throughout the tournament period.

A significant highlight of this year’s NSOC 2025 season is the partnership with major sponsors such as Maritime Bank (MSB) and the brand Wake-up 247…
This not only confirms the appeal and strong attraction of the tournament but also reflects the desire of organizations and units to encourage and promote the passion for Esports among students, contributing to the development of the country’s Esports landscape. Just as the message that NSOC 2025 aims to convey: United We Rise!
