The police identified hot girl Ly Meo as being involved in an illegal drug trafficking ring transporting narcotics from the Golden Triangle to Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces. Ly Meo is known for her attractive appearance and often shares images of her lavish lifestyle on social media, boasting tens of thousands of followers. As the investigation agency clarified her act of Failing to Report a Crime, Ly had escaped from her home in the Binh Duong area (now part of Ho Chi Minh City).
According to investigations, at the beginning of 2024, based on intelligence reports, the police discovered a major drug trafficking ring led by Pham Cong Chanh, involving many gangsters. The Ho Chi Minh City Police established a specialized case and mobilized many forces for prolonged surveillance.

On the afternoon of February 22, the police confirmed that the drugs were being transported by this group from Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City, prompting the task force to decide to raid. Numerous undercover officers stormed an apartment in the Leontina Apartment building on Ngo Be Street (formerly Tan Binh District) and arrested Chanh along with nearly 8 kg of drugs disguised in tea packages.
Expanding the investigation, the police arrested Phan Van Trung and coordinated with Ba Ria – Vung Tau province to apprehend Lai Vi Thieu. These individuals had previously worked in a casino in Cambodia and collaborated with criminals here to transport drugs from the Golden Triangle to Vietnam.
The police identified another crucial link in this drug ring as Le Thanh Tu (also known as Co, 42 years old, a gangster from the former District 8, Ho Chi Minh City). Tu lived with his partner in a house in Ward 14, Go Vap District (formerly). When the task force approached to work with the girl, Tu took a taxi home.
Just as he got out of the car, Tu noticed several strangers and, realizing they were police, tried to jump back into the taxi to resist and flee. At the same time, many undercover officers rushed in from different directions. Tu pulled out a gun, aimed it at the police, and pulled the trigger, but the cartridge jammed. After being subdued, Tu struggled and wrestled, causing the gun of one officer to accidentally discharge, firing two shots, fortunately not injuring anyone. Tu was arrested by the police immediately afterward.
During questioning, Tu confessed to having just received a shipment including 11 kg of ketamine, 6 kg of methamphetamine, and 10 bricks of heroin… When checking suspicious locations, the police had to extract nearly 800 cubic meters of wastewater for testing. The results showed the presence of multiple types of drugs, revealing crucial evidence.
