The Return of the Turbo System in TFT Season 13
Among the core systems in TFT Season 13, Turbo often does not capture much attention from players. The reason is that the damage output of this system is not particularly impressive, and melee carries lack good survivability. This leads to a situation where, despite being well constructed, the carries of the Turbo system can still be quickly taken down without dealing enough necessary damage.

However, this weakness has been somewhat mitigated as Ambessa and Akali were recently buffed by Riot Games to increase their damage output. Combined with the very annoying effects from Twisted Fate, the Turbo system has significantly improved its ability to “carry the team” in the current version. Even in the LPL Super Server, the Turbo composition combined with Damage Dealers is currently “making waves” as it is classified in the S tier (very strong compositions) by top players.
Building the Turbo – Damage Dealers Composition in TFT Season 13
In the early game, players should aim for 3 Brawlers with Akali, Vex, and Irelia to secure a win streak. The Brawler class has recently received a buff to its health-boosting effects, so players can rest assured that their carries and tanks will have very good durability in fights. Additionally, Rell is a sensible early addition to activate 2 Damage Dealers and 2 Diviners with Irelia and Vex to strengthen the composition.

After reaching level 6, players should adopt a slow roll strategy to find Akali and Nocturne as much as possible. Leveling one of these units to 3 stars will significantly enhance the composition’s damage output. Twisted Fate is also a very strong option to include, providing extra ranged magic damage. Furthermore, this unit can hold supportive items like Statikk Shiv and Morellonomicon to help melee carries deal damage more effectively.

Owning a 3-star Akali or Nocturne will help players accumulate a significant amount of economy heading into the late game. At that point, Ambessa and Illaoi will be essential additions to complete the 4 Damage Dealers and 4 Turbo threshold. Loris is also an excellent addition as this unit activates the 2 Lawkeepers threshold with Twisted Fate, significantly boosting its power when fully equipped.

Some Tips When Building the Composition
With the Turbo system featuring many melee carries, players should prioritize crafting 2 items: Bloodthirster and Giant Slayer as early as possible. Units like Akali, Nocturne, or Ambessa can effectively utilize these items, allowing players to be flexible in choosing carries based on the battle situation. Additionally, players should also craft Redemption for the tank units to enhance the survivability of their melee carries. Regarding Augments, upgrades that enhance reroll capabilities will be prioritized to expedite the process of leveling Akali to 3 stars.
