The Power of Rumble in TFT Season 12
An interesting fact is that the “Hero Augments” in TFT Season 12 are all incredibly powerful and create very strong team compositions. Rumble’s Scorching Augment is one of them as this upgrade helps Rumble increase skill damage, decrease maximum energy, and most importantly, grants 20% omnivamp. The only trade-off Rumble has to endure with this augment is that the skill no longer applies Grievous Wounds, which is a “deal” too good for players.

Not stopping there, the rise of reroll carries like Nilah, Ahri, Akali… also inadvertently helps players upgrade Rumble more easily. Even in the nerf of patch 14.16b, the Scorching Augment only had its damage reduced by 10% and did not significantly affect output damage. This allows Rumble to remain stable in the current meta while competitors like Nilah, Ahri, Akali… have all faced significant nerfs.
Building a Rumble Team Composition in TFT Season 12
With the significant damage increase from the Scorching Augment, players should focus on enhancing Rumble’s defense by activating the Vanguard trait. Affordable yet effective units like Blitzcrank, Warwick, and Galio will help activate the 4 Vanguard threshold very reliably in the early game. At level 5, a Gunner unit like Tristana will help Rumble deal even more damage.

At level 6, players should stop buying experience and start rerolling to upgrade Rumble to 3 stars as quickly as possible. Additionally, Tristana is also a solid secondary carry to invest in if she appears frequently in the shop during this phase. Players should also add some versatile champions like Zilean or Bard to the composition to enhance survivability or damage output for the carry.

After upgrading Rumble to 3 stars, players need to push to level 8 as quickly as possible. This will increase the chances of acquiring some important 4-cost champions like Tahm Kench and Rakan to ensure Rumble’s survivability in fights. If conditions allow, reaching level 9 will provide strong 5-cost units like Morgana or Xerath as great options.

Some Tips for Building a Rumble Team Composition
The two most important items for Rumble are Bloodthirster and Rabadon’s Deathcap, which ensure both damage and survivability for this unit. If you have the Blooming Lotus augment, you can skip the Jeweled Gauntlet to focus on other items like Archangel’s Staff or Infinity Edge. Additionally, items that provide magic penetration effects like Statikk Shiv or Stormrazor are also very suitable for this composition.
