The Strong Comeback of Syndra in TFT Season 12
In the recent patches of TFT Season 12, Riot Games has continuously buffed Syndra’s damage output as the unit was performing poorly. The reason lies in the fact that Riot had previously nerfed this unit too heavily, causing Syndra’s power to “plummet uncontrollably”. It wasn’t until patch 14.19 that her skill damage was buffed again, allowing her to make a comeback.

According to evaluations from top TFT players, the previous Syndra Vanguard playstyle is no longer effective. Instead, players should use this unit in a Monster composition for maximum effectiveness. This stems from Riot’s continuous buffs to the stat scaling based on the level of the Beast Summoner. As a result, when Syndra reaches a high level, this summoned unit becomes extremely strong in both damage dealing and tankiness.
Building a Syndra – Monster Composition in TFT Season 12
To start well with this composition, players should activate the 3 Monster trait early with Ashe, Elise, and Syndra. Players can also use Jayce in the frontline to activate the 2 Shapeshifter trait to ensure tankiness. This beginning will ensure balance and help players maintain a significant amount of health and gold.

After reaching level 6, players should stop buying experience to reroll and aim to upgrade Syndra to 3 stars. Additionally, players should pay attention to and buy Nilah units in the shop to increase the chances of upgrading this unit. This helps activate the 5 Monster trait early and provides another quality carry in the mid-game, making it harder for opponents to counter with items.

After completing Syndra’s upgrade, players will quickly push to level 8 to seek opportunities to activate the 7 Monster trait. If they cannot find Briar at level 8, players should not reroll too much but should keep gold to push to level 9 as quickly as possible. In addition to increasing the appearance rate of Briar, this also allows players to include strong 5-cost units like Norra or Xerath (depending on the state of the match) to aim for victory.

Some Notes When Building the Syndra – Monster Composition
With the need to cast spells multiple times to build stacks, the Shojin Spear – Nashor’s Tooth combo proves to be very suitable for this unit. Additionally, Sorcerer’s Hat or Archangel’s Staff will help Syndra eliminate the opponent’s team much faster. Furthermore, upgrades that provide Monster Emblems, Gold Spatula, or boost the strength of the Beast Summoner are also extremely suitable for this composition.
