The Rise of Nomsy in TFT Season 12
In the recent patch 14.18 of TFT Season 12, Nomsy stands out as one of the most notable reworks. Specifically, 50% of the excess damage dealt by this unit will affect the two nearest targets, and this number increases to four when activating the 3 Dragon threshold. Additionally, the projectile speed of Nomsy’s skill has been significantly increased, allowing this unit to perform much better than before.

Furthermore, the significant buff to the Hunter trait has greatly enhanced the gameplay revolving around Nomsy in the early game. This is a crucial factor for reroll compositions as it helps players maintain a lot of health and accumulate gold more effectively to have enough resources to upgrade champions. Combined with beneficial adjustments from the Shapeshifter trait in the previous patch, compositions centered around Nomsy are now incredibly strong from start to finish.
Building a Composition Around Nomsy in TFT Season 12
In the early game, players should pair Nomsy with Twitch to activate the 2 Hunter threshold and ensure output damage. Following that, Shapeshifter champions will be prioritized in the tank role due to their significant health pool. Moreover, if players are lucky enough to acquire Shyvana early, they will activate the 2 Dragon threshold and effectively counter strong healing champions.

Similar to other reroll compositions with 1-cost champions, players should not purchase experience until they upgrade their core champion Nomsy to 3 stars. During the reroll process, players can also focus on upgrading other 1-cost champions like Elise or Jayce to 3 stars to increase durability. After completing Nomsy’s upgrades, players should quickly push to higher levels to activate major Shapeshifter thresholds.

In the late game, players will replace Twitch with more effective damage dealers like Varus and Smolder. Additionally, Briar is an extremely strong choice as this unit not only adds damage but also provides an area-wide Fear effect that can be very frustrating for opponents. These will be important additions in the late game to help players secure the ultimate victory.

Some Notes When Building a Nomsy Core Composition
When building items for Nomsy, players should aim for Spear of Shojin and Infinity Edge. The Blue Bow is also a strong choice to attack opponents with heavy armor in the enemy composition. Additionally, Technology Augments that support rerolling and champion upgrades like Trade Sector and Stars Align are very suitable for this composition. If players can assemble items for Bruisers like Bloodthirster and Sterak’s Claw, they can equip them on Jayce and later transfer them to Briar.
