A Top LCK Superstar’s Family Surprises with Support for Vietnam
In these days, people across the country are turning their attention to the North with calls for support, whether individually or collectively, to help their compatriots recover from the aftermath of the Yagi storm. Of course, it’s not just the people living in the S-shaped country, but also fellow countrymen abroad. And in this context, the Esports community in general and League of Legends in particular are not standing on the sidelines.

Recently, many fandoms both domestic and abroad of different teams, players, and famous casters and analysts have contributed to the North. However, a recent act of support from an LCK superstar towards Vietnam has truly surprised many. This player, who is currently regarded as one of the best in the world, is none other than Chovy – the superstar Mid Laner of Gen.G, the reigning MSI 2024 champion.

Accordingly, the Gen.G fan community and the Vietnamese League of Legends community recently discovered that Chovy’s mother, upon learning that some Gen.G fans in Vietnam were supporting their compatriots under Chovy’s name, sent a total of 10 million won (equivalent to about 190 million VND) to help the Vietnamese people recover from the storm. Additionally, Chovy’s mother attached a receipt and a message wishing the Vietnamese people to quickly overcome the storm, as well as thanking fans for honoring Chovy with such meaningful actions.

LCK Fans in Vietnam Are Also Stunned
It goes without saying, LCK fans in Vietnam, particularly Chovy’s supporters, are incredibly surprised and delighted by this gesture from the family of the world-class League of Legends superstar. It can be said that Chovy’s family is the first LCK player family to take such action in support of Vietnam. Previously, most of these initiatives were carried out solely by fandoms, and such activities were rarely reported to teams or players.

With this humanitarian action, it can be said that Chovy has gained even more affection from Vietnamese fans. In the upcoming journey at the 2024 World Championship, fans in Vietnam are certainly looking forward to his triumphant return.
