Demon
In patch 11.13b, the Demon trait received a comprehensive buff from the effects of the trait to key units at the start of the game. With an additional 10% attack speed at the 3-unit threshold, Demon units can regenerate energy and cast their abilities much faster than before. If you have a Statikk Shiv (both regular and Shadow versions), this buff further enhances the damage output. This buff also allows a frontline unit like Poppy to become significantly more resilient as she can continuously generate shields.

Not stopping there, Riot also buffed Kennen’s base attack speed. This makes it much easier for Kennen to cast spells and stun enemy teams multiple times during fights. In summary, with the buff from patch 11.13b, the Demon trait has become very strong in the early game across all aspects from damage, resilience, and crowd control. This creates a perfect condition to incorporate strong pieces like Ivern, Heimerdinger, and especially Teemo in the late game.

Yasuo – Mage
With magic damage carries trending in the current meta, compositions utilizing the Mystic trait are becoming increasingly popular. Meanwhile, Rell and other Armored units remain highly valued for their significant added armor. Therefore, players will face considerable challenges if they rely too heavily on magic damage carries or pure physical damage. In such cases, Yasuo’s true damage becomes extremely important and should be leveraged at this moment.

Another strength of the Yasuo – Mage composition is that it also benefits from the previous Warrior buff in patch 11.13. Units like Lee Sin, Pantheon, and Trundle will play a key role in tanking for this composition and allow Yasuo to deal damage much more comfortably. To build this composition effectively, it is essential to equip Yasuo with 2 items: Runaan’s Hurricane and Infinity Edge to maximize his damage output.

Assassin
Basically, patch 11.13b only enhances the power of the Demon trait and slightly nerfs Lux’s shield generation ability. Therefore, strong late-game compositions like Celestial, Divine – Sorcerer… continue to dominate the Teamfight Tactics meta. If you pursue such team comps, you will face fierce competition with other players, and upgrading carries will be very challenging. Therefore, you should switch to using Assassin team compositions to increase your survival chances in the mid-game.

The strength of the Assassin composition is that it deals good damage from the 4-unit threshold, when you are at level 6 or 7. This is when other players may not yet have or just have a 1-star 4-cost carry, so their damage output will be significantly lower compared to the Assassin team. This allows you to maintain a relatively long win streak with the Assassin team and create a significant health advantage in the late game. After that, you need to position Viego appropriately in the late game if you want to secure the top spot.
