Miss Fortune
This can be considered one of the most dominant champions ever to appear in Teamfight Tactics. Miss Fortune’s damage output justifies her 5 gold price tag, and in Season 3, she was regarded as a guaranteed winning champion. In fact, compared to the current Kayle, using Miss Fortune is even easier since she doesn’t need to stack her ability to deal damage, and her damage interacts with items to become even stronger.
Having been absent in Seasons 4 and 4.5, many hope that the Bounty Hunter will return in Season 5, especially if her ability, Make It Rain, is retained. Of course, if this requirement is met, even if she costs 5 gold, Miss Fortune will still be one of the most sought-after champions.

Aurelion Sol
A name that has been “neglected” in League of Legends but is a top sought-after champion in TFT is Aurelion Sol. While in Summoner’s Rift, the Aspect of the Void faced various criticisms due to his “please don’t notice me” skillset, in the realm of RNG chess, Aurelion Sol was once humorously referred to as the “victory” champion, as any team composition, no matter how far behind, could turn the tables with just a 1-star Aurelion Sol.
Once the definition of the strength of the Dragon Tribe in the previous season, Aurelion Sol makes TFT players regret not returning alongside the Dragon Tribe in Season 5, replaced instead by Heimerdinger. However, with Season 5.5 approaching, many players still hope that this champion can return with abilities like Celestial Wave or Starcall that can wipe out opponents in a single cast.

Gangplank
Another notable disappearance is Gangplank, the Saltwater Scourge, who was extremely powerful in Season 3 and vanished like Miss Fortune in Season 4, continuing to not appear in Season 5. Few can forget the Gangplank full AP meta where just his Cannon Barrage could easily 1v9. Particularly, with the mechanism in Season 3 that allowed players to use gold to enhance champions, Gangplank became even stronger if players acquired him early.
Having been absent for a season and a half, Gangplank is expected to make a grand return, especially with the increasing strength of tank champions creating more opportunities for him to thrive. Of course, if he retains Cannon Barrage, it’s likely that Gangplank will return with a price of no less than 4 gold.

Xerath
For those who have played TFT for a long time, the name Xerath is certainly unforgettable – one of the signature champions of the Shadow Isles composition in Seasons 3 and 3.5. In fact, with the Xerath Blademaster meta, this champion was seen as an incredibly valuable pick to climb the ranks at that time.
Currently, Xerath shows no signs of returning, and he hasn’t appeared in any leaked information either. But Riot always has surprises for players, and who knows, the Ascended Mage might have a chance to return to Teamfight Tactics on some fine day.
