Infinity Edge
It’s no exaggeration to say that Infinity Edge is an attack item that has never been “out meta” in Teamfight Tactics. However, this item saw a slight decrease in value in the previous patch when units not using Infinity Edge like Kai’Sa and Urgot completely dominated. Nevertheless, this decrease in value didn’t last long as Riot heavily nerfed Kai’Sa and Urgot, bringing it back to the position of the best attack item.

Not stopping there, many champions using Infinity Edge are making a strong comeback, contributing to this item’s extreme dominance. Lux with the combo of Archangel’s Staff, Infinity Edge, and Blue Buff is a prime example as the 6 Sorcerer team is making a powerful comeback. Additionally, the increased popularity of the Assassin team makes Infinity Edge even more valuable as this item grants assassins a tremendous critical damage output to eliminate their opponents.
Guardian Angel
If you think that Riot’s nerf to the resurrected health of Guardian Angel down to 250 would weaken this item, then you are mistaken. In fact, Guardian Angel is currently among the most used items in “luck-based chess” and shows no signs of cooling down. Many strong and trusted champions like Akali, Yone, Viktor, Jinx… utilize this item extremely well, which is part of the reason why Guardian Angel remains highly valued.

Moreover, it has gradually been discovered that the true power of Guardian Angel lies in its ability to ensure champions will definitely cast their abilities. For champions with the potential to deal devastating damage or control with their skills, this is a crucial factor. Therefore, even though the health of champions after resurrection has been nerfed, it does not affect the strength of Guardian Angel at all. Perhaps Riot needs to implement stronger adjustments to reduce the popularity of this item.
Morello’s Evil Tome
Continuing the trend of nerfs but still remaining strong, Riot has reduced the damage over time that this item inflicts in patch 12.1. In reality, the impact of this change is slightly greater than that of Guardian Angel since some champions reliant on the damage from Morello’s Evil Tome like Twisted Fate and Lissandra have weakened. However, the healing reduction effect of Morello’s Evil Tome remains critically important.

The reason is that in season 6, the Mage system is showing comprehensive strength, and reducing their ability to heal with Morello’s Evil Tome is necessary. Even if the opponent does not use Mages, many technological cores that provide healing often appear, making the value of Morello’s Evil Tome even greater. Nevertheless, Riot has successfully returned this item to being a form of counter item rather than dealing “unreal” damage as before.
