Irelia and Friends
If you didn’t know, the Irelia and Friends composition operates similarly to the Idol playstyle combined with Kai’Sa, Akali, Viktor… in the first half of Season 6. Essentially, you will still play around a single carry and buff that unit to become extremely strong thanks to the effects of the Idol. The strength of the Irelia and Friends team in Teamfight Tactics Season 6.5 is that this unit only costs 4 gold and is easier to upgrade to 2 stars compared to 5-gold units.

Moreover, the Idol system itself also includes Gnar and easily activates the 2 Attack bonus with Irelia. Consequently, as long as you have a fully equipped Irelia and the 3 Idol bonus, players can confidently rank up. Therefore, no matter how bad your augment is, as long as it adds attack, defense stats, or provides any effect like energy regeneration for Irelia, it can be chosen.
Renata – Brawler
To put it bluntly, Renata – Brawler is a prime example of using strong champions, so there’s no need to worry about good or bad augments. This composition utilizes Brawler units with high health combined with the Guardian effect, allowing them to tank very well without needing augment assistance. Furthermore, the two carries of this composition – Renata and Viktor – do not synergize with the Scholar or Mage augments since they can deal significant damage without activating their system.

Additionally, Silco can buff a lot of energy and damage for your team, making augments that provide this capability unnecessary. In summary, the strength of this composition mainly lies in the powerful 4-5 gold champions, and whether the augments are strong or weak doesn’t significantly impact the Renata – Brawler team. Therefore, the advice when choosing augments for this composition is to prioritize safety so players can sustain health, accumulate gold, and roll for carries later on.
Draven – Elegant
Although using a very different set of champions and composition, fundamentally, Draven – Elegant and the team comp centered around Irelia operate exactly the same way. Essentially, you will have to find every way to help your carry, in this case, Draven, deal as much damage as possible. Unlike Irelia, Draven already has a ranged attack, even infinite when in VIP form, so this unit does not need defensive or healing items to deal damage safely.

Therefore, when operating this composition, the most important thing is to upgrade Draven and equip this unit with all the essential items. You can even choose augments that provide items or upgrade the Pandora’s Box to secure the best gear for Draven. Even without any augments that directly upgrade the Elegant trait, as long as Draven has enough items, this unit can comfortably “carry the team”.
