One of the most unique mechanics that sets TFT Season 6 apart from previous seasons is the introduction of Augments. According to many players, Riot introduced the Augment mechanism to enhance player creativity while minimizing “spam” tactics as much as possible. Of course, having multiple players using the same strategy in a match is hard to avoid, but not everyone will achieve maximum effectiveness without the right Augments.

There are some strong Augments that have remained effective over time, regardless of how many updates occur. The following list presents three types of Augments that are considered the most effective and are highly favored by players.

Self-Destruct Mechanism

Among the Augments that enhance the power of various traits, the Self-Destruct Mechanism is highly favored and often chosen early to help players start building a Chemtech team. The Self-Destruct Mechanism can also effectively counter champions with high health, mobility, or shields.

Moreover, compared to other Augments, the Self-Destruct Mechanism does not require players to think too much about the trade-offs. What could be more advantageous than having a defeated champion explode and help players turn the tide? The Self-Destruct Mechanism is even more popular when the Chemtech team offers diverse damage and is seldom adjusted by Riot, consistently ranking among the top teams with an extremely high win rate and favored by players.

Small but Mighty

If you’re a player who loves explosive strategies, you definitely can’t miss this Augment. Even if you’re not playing the Mercenary trait, but find yourself in an unfavorable early or mid-game phase, the Small but Mighty Augment can help mitigate this weakness. With 2 additional health after each round, players can always maintain a reasonable health level to prevent a long losing streak. For players who enjoy the Mercenary trait, the Small but Mighty Augment is crucial, even considered pivotal alongside the timing of explosive strategies.

Additionally, this Augment has a special mechanism that allows your Spirit Beast to move faster than usual. As a result, during the shared pick phase, players can easily obtain desirable items. Ensuring health, having suitable items, and executing explosive strategies will definitely make climbing to the top, even reaching rank 1, not too difficult anymore.

Small but Mighty is suitable for all types of team compositions and metas, but it is most effective when used with Mercenaries or players who enjoy the 'eco white' playstyle

Super Technology Integration

One of the main issues causing damage dealers to be easily defeated is their fragility, especially in the late game or when facing Assassins. Moreover, with the current meta focusing on champions’ sturdiness, players often build tanks with champions that have high health or substantial shields, making Super Technology Integration even more necessary as this Augment provides 300/450/600 health and 20/30/40 physical damage. This means that primary damage dealers gain a certain level of sturdiness while also obtaining a significant amount of damage. This Augment is particularly strong with team compositions that already provide attack speed, sturdiness, and damage, such as Marksmen, Chemtech, Brawlers, Challenger, and Mutant.

Moreover, Super Technology Integration remains strong across all updates and allows players to easily consider building items for their team compositions whether in the early, mid, or late game phase. With such versatility, it’s no wonder that Super Technology Integration is favored and often leads to easy victories.
