With Teamfight Tactics just launched about a week ago, the game’s meta will continuously change. Many team compositions today are extremely powerful, but shortly after, they may be left behind by players. Recently, the team composition named Xayah – Guild has emerged as one of the strongest and most versatile playstyles at the moment. So how can we effectively build this team composition? Let’s find out.

Essentially, the Xayah – Guild composition will leverage Xayah’s power as the main damage dealer with the support of Talon and Twitch. It’s important to note that when Talon and Twitch activate the Guild effect, they will increase attack damage and attack speed, which are crucial stats for Xayah. For tankiness, this composition will utilize 4-cost champions that are both durable and provide good crowd control, allowing Xayah to deal damage more comfortably.
At the start of the game, you should aim for a 2 Sniper – 2 Brawler combo to ensure both damage output and tankiness. Ezreal is the perfect core unit at this stage as he can easily reach 2 stars with a cost of 1 gold and utilize the Statikk Shiv well, an effective damage item early on. For the frontline, Shen is always the number one choice; you can supplement with Tahm Kench and Sejuani at level 5 to boost the team’s health.

As you progress to the mid-game stage, the most important thing you need to do is maintain your gold at 50 and consistently level up. You can replace Tahm Kench with more useful Brawlers such as Illaoi, Sylas, or add Lillia to activate the 2 Knight threshold. Essentially, you just need to maximize the champions you see in the shop to ensure damage output while keeping your health as high as possible.

After reaching level 8, you need to reroll extensively to acquire important 4-cost champions, including Ornn and Hecarim for the frontline, and Xayah and Talon for damage. Additionally, Qiyana is a unit worth buying (even at 1 star) at this stage as she activates 2 important traits – Dragon and Assassin. These will provide additional damage, crowd control, and help Xayah have more space to deal damage.

For the tech cores, upgrades that help Xayah deal additional damage are extremely important. You can choose items like Ignition, Terror, or Silver Arrow to boost damage and help other Dragon or Sniper champions become stronger. Cores providing Guild emblems or Knight seals are also essential as they will help your team become more durable and harder to take down.

Regarding item building, Xayah should own Infinity Edge and Giant Slayer as the current meta has many players rerolling with high-health champions. For the third item, Green Bow, Bloodthirster, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, or Healing Cut are options you can choose depending on the situation. Additionally, do not forget about Talon, as this unit needs at least one Infinity Edge to threaten the enemy’s backline.
