In the current version 11.4, Butcher is considered the strongest class in Teamfight Tactics due to its incredible damage output. Combined with a significant buff to the Long Tribe, compositions revolving around Olaf have quickly dominated the meta of patch 11.4. However, this has led to intense competition for Olaf, making the process of building a team for players extremely challenging.

To counter this, top players have turned to Tryndamere as a late-game carry. This unit has similar strength but is not contested as heavily as Olaf. Moreover, with the addition of the Duelist class, Tryndamere is less reliant on attack speed items, giving players more options when crafting their gear.

Of course, you cannot find Tryndamere at the very beginning of the game, so players need to build a strong enough team to hold out until the end. One of the best starting strategies is to buy early champions like Twisted Fate, Pyke, or Elise. With Galio’s superior power, you can secure a winning streak fairly easily in the early levels. Tristana is also a worthwhile unit to purchase early on as she can hold items very effectively for your carry.

In the mid-game phase, Yuumi and Teemo are key champions you need to acquire. They will activate high-value effects like Sniper and Spirit, significantly boosting your team’s power. Furthermore, Teemo’s blind effect from his skill helps players reduce a considerable amount of damage that the frontline takes. If you are lucky enough, consider purchasing an Aatrox unit at levels 6-7 to ensure crowd control for your team.

As you move into the late game, your task now is to roll for a 2-star Tryndamere as soon as possible. You can use Jax to activate the Duelist effect and gain additional stun ability. After that, roll and replace Jax with Lee Sin later on. Sejuani is always a very strong choice in the frontline when combined with Aatrox.

If you cannot roll a Butcher Tryndamere, you should keep Pyke to activate the Butcher system. The healing ability of Butcher is extremely important for Tryndamere, so players shouldn’t rush to sell Pyke too early. In the later stages, alongside Teemo and Yuumi, Samira is a crucial unit to buy to supplement your team’s damage.

Regarding item building, Infinity Edge is currently the most suitable item for Tryndamere. This item allows Tryndamere to quickly eliminate targets after using his skill Spinning Slash. Additionally, Giant Slayer and Blue Bow are good choices for Tryndamere to take down the opponent’s overly “tanky” units. For defensive items, Guardian Angel is the optimal choice for this champion.
