In Teamfight Tactics season 6 (and the upcoming season 6.5), the Enforcer trait is considered extremely annoying as it can disable opponents’ units in each round. Specifically, at the 4 Enforcer threshold, your carry will be immobilized by this trait’s effect, which always targets the unit that dealt the most damage in the previous round. Additionally, units like Jayce, Caitlyn, Vi, and Fiora are extremely strong champions of this trait.

However, even an effect that seems unavoidable like Enforcer has a way to be countered. Specifically, gamers recently discovered a method to avoid the disabling effect of Enforcer by upgrading their carry. In simple terms, when you upgrade a champion in the bench, the Teamfight Tactics system will recognize it as a new unit and not count it as a piece on the board from the previous round. At that point, the target of the Enforcer trait will change and bypass your carry.
To execute this trick, you need to have a carry unit (usually 1-star if it costs 4-5 gold) and a different version of it in the bench. When equipped with full items, that piece will often be the highest damage dealer targeted by Enforcer. At this point, you just need to put that carry unit into the bench, roll continuously to upgrade it to 2-star, and then bring it onto the board. The game’s system will recognize it as a completely new unit and will not be “touched” by Enforcer.

This proves to be extremely useful in situations where you have to “struggle to find a way to reach the top or compete for the top 1 position.” Allowing your carry to deal damage freely even when opponents use Enforcer will help ensure your damage output is not interrupted, leading to a loss in the match. Remember that 4 Enforcer is one of the most disruptive traits in the late game, and finding ways to counter it is essential if you want to compete for the top 1 position.
