If you have been climbing ranks in Teamfight Tactics Season 7, you are probably familiar with Sett, who frequently appears in Dragonmancer or Dragon Warrior compositions. However, with players’ creativity, Sett can also be used as a very strong carry when upgraded to 3 stars. So how can we build this composition effectively? Let’s find out.
First, we need to understand Sett’s strength when pushed to be the carry. When this unit casts his skill, Sett will gain a lot of armor and magic resistance. Additionally, while in this state, every second attack from Sett will deal extra damage. Therefore, Sett as a carry requires two key factors: attack speed and AD (Attack Damage) to maximize the damage of the second hit. Furthermore, with the activation of Dragon Warrior, Sett’s armor, magic resistance, and health will also be significantly high.
Another factor that players need to remember is that when building Sett in the early game, you should prioritize activating the Dragon Warrior trait over Dragonmancer. The reason is that at this stage, Sett does not have many items and is at a low level, so he cannot utilize the attack speed from Dragonmancer. Instead, with the Dragon Warrior effect, Sett will have much higher durability and help players preserve their health effectively.
Similar to other reroll compositions, you will not buy experience at the early levels to increase the chances of getting Sett. You can go “all in” with the gold you have at round 3-1 to upgrade to 3-star Sett as soon as possible. After that, we will look for ways to activate the 3 Dragonmancer trait with valuable units like Shen, Swain, Lee Sin… to enhance the strength of the composition.
In the late game, there will be two main build paths for this composition. First, in the case where Shyvana is not found, players will aim to reach the 6 Dragonmancer mark to give Sett more attack speed. If you have Shyvana, players should push to the 9 Dragonmancer mark along with the trait’s emblem to maximize Sett’s power.
Regarding the technology cores, it is recommended to choose upgrades that enhance the power of Dragonmancer and Dragon Warrior to best support Sett. The Pandora’s Box is also a very good technology core, helping players get the optimal items for Sett. Additionally, cores providing emblems, Dragonmancer Heart, or URF Item Bag are also very suitable for this composition if you want to play to 9 Dragonmancer.
For items, Sett’s “core item” will be the Mystic Cloak and Guinsoo’s Rageblade. These will help Sett deal damage comfortably and build up as much attack speed as possible. Additionally, you can use other offensive items like Giant Slayer to increase durability, Deathblade for damage or Titan Slayer to counter opponents.
