If you didn’t know, player Agon is an extremely famous figure in the North American Teamfight Tactics community. Aside from being able to climb to the top 7 Challenger position, this guy also created the hyper-roll Sniper – Soul meta in patches 11.5 and 11.6. In fact, Agon was the reason Riot had to nerf Tristana recently. Let’s explore Agon’s rank climbing secrets with the Soul trait.

According to Agon, the most important item when operating the Soul team composition is the Iron Solari Pendant. He often combines this item with Diana to increase her skill damage stats, providing maximum shields for other units at the start of the game. In fact, if you can combine the Iron Solari Pendant early, it is one of the signs to build a Soul team.

This also leads to Agon not using tank champions in the frontline, even when playing any variant of the Soul team. With frontline champions, you have to find ways to protect them so that Aatrox, Sejuani, and Shen can cast their abilities. If you place Diana, holding the Iron Solari Pendant, in the frontline, your backline carries will no longer be protected. Therefore, Agon’s solution is not to use tank champions when playing the Soul team.

Regarding champion selection, the champion Agon prioritizes purchasing is Diana due to her versatility. Whether in Soul or Assassin traits, Diana can deal a significant amount of damage early game with just the Iron Solari Pendant. Furthermore, selecting Diana as a trait will help players transition their team composition much easier than buying Tristana, Akali, or Sivir.
If you buy the champions mentioned above, you can only choose one of the two paths: Sniper or Assassin to be your carry. This will limit your options for building the composition, acquiring items in the mid-game, and make it easier for you to be “read” by opponents. With Diana as a trait, you can flexibly switch between the two composition paths without being locked into a specific pattern.

One of the signs of applying the hyper-roll Tristana playstyle is that you have about 5 one-star Tristana units before the Rock round. If not, you should find a way to turn Tristana into a carry item holder and transition to an Assassin team at the end of the game. Fortunately, Tristana can hold items from Talon (Infinity Edge, Blue Bow) and Akali (Rapid Firecannon, Gauntlet) quite well.

Agon’s final tip is to use Yuumi wisely in the late game. This champion has a great ability to buff attack speed for allies, making Yuumi a potential key to victory. You should place Yuumi as far away from your team’s carry as possible so that this unit can buff attack speed stats most effectively. Counter items that assist allies like Redemption, Spear of Shojin are also very suitable for Yuumi in the late game.
