Shyvana
In version 11.4, Riot Games implemented significant nerfs targeting the Brawler composition. First, they reduced both the health and additional damage stats of the Brawler system, making this composition less able to deal damage safely. Moreover, Riot directly decreased Shyvana’s damage, health, and magic resistance in this version. However, despite these nerfs, the Brawler composition in general and Shyvana in particular still prove to be extremely powerful.

Since version 11.4, Brawlers have consistently been ranked S (extremely strong) on many statistics sites. As for Shyvana, having a perfect ability like Dragon Form ensures this champion always has a significant output of damage. When using her ability, in addition to gaining health and damage, Shyvana will fly back to a safe position and become a ranged champion. This ensures that Shyvana provides players with stable damage output, even after being nerfed.
Kayle
Once an incredibly strong champion in Season 3, Kayle has been carefully balanced by Riot Games since the launch of Season 4.5. In both versions 11.4 and 11.6, Kayle has experienced direct nerfs aimed at reducing her skill damage output. However, this champion remains a powerful carry and is trusted by many Teamfight Tactics players in the late game. It seems that Riot’s nerfs have had little impact on Kayle’s strength.

The strength of the Blade Dancer composition lies in how well other champions support Kayle in eliminating enemy teams. When opponents are low on health, Kayle can easily activate the Blade Dancer effect and take down the enemy team. Although Kayle’s damage has been reduced, when her attacks become critical hits, Riot’s nerfs become ineffective. It seems that if Riot wants to weaken the composition centered around Kayle, they must also nerf Xayah and Kindred.
Yasuo
Unlike the two champions mentioned above, Yasuo was not heavily nerfed in terms of his traits or basic stats. However, Yasuo became a significant victim of the hyper-roll meta when Riot decided to nerf the Ace stat in version 11.4. Nevertheless, the Yasuo – Duelist composition still proves to be extremely powerful in recent versions. This team composition only lost a bit of strength when overly “tanky” compositions like Protector and Vanguard – Legend dominated the meta.

With the addition of Tryndamere in Season 4.5, the Duelist composition can thrive even without using the hyper-roll strategy. Even though Yasuo has been indirectly nerfed, he remains a strong unit in the late game with the incredibly resilient 2 Duelist effect. Of course, Riot’s changes have made Yasuo less dominant in the early game, but he is still a very powerful carry in the late game. Therefore, Yasuo – Duelist remains an effective ranking strategy at the moment.
