In the current 11.4 patch, the Dragon Tribe is highly regarded by Teamfight Tactics experts. This is due to the significant buffs they have received recently regarding their damage output.
However, winning with the Dragon Tribe composition is not easy at all. You may sometimes find yourself with too many carries and be unsure of how to build them effectively. The following tips from Challenger player Gunmay will help gamers operate the Dragon Tribe team in the most efficient way.

You will know to build the Dragon Tribe composition when you can buy Brand or Elite Tristana early. In the early game, the Dragon Tribe can deal extremely strong damage, so players will find it relatively easy to secure a winning streak.
A small tip shared by Gunmay is to place Brand in the front line. The reason is that both Brand and Tristana are ranged champions; if you keep them in the back line, the Dragon Tribe effect will be activated very slowly. Therefore, having Brand in the front will help players increase the damage output for other Dragon Tribe units.

In case you are too “unlucky” and cannot find the Elite Dragon Tribe early, roll at the beginning of stage 3. This will help you buy Shyvana early and avoid taking too much damage in the mid-game. Shyvana, even if not Elite, can still deal good damage, especially when she has the Runaan’s Hurricane.

Moving into the later stages of the match, you will have 3 options to choose from: play around Shyvana, Olaf, or Aurelion Sol. If players receive many Wooden Bows, you should choose to build a composition with Shyvana as the carry. In case you have more than 2 Giant Slayers, Aurelion Sol is the right choice. You should consider building around Olaf if you acquire many B.F. Swords.
With the first option, playing around Shyvana, you should roll a bit at level 7 if you have previously purchased 4-5 of these units. Having a 3-star Shyvana is a very clear winning condition that players need to achieve at this time. After you have a 3-star Shyvana, quickly level up to 8 and find a way to buy Sett to increase the health of your carry.

In case players choose Aurelion Sol as the carry, make sure this champion has enough items to deal damage. The best items for Aurelion Sol are the Glacial Gauntlet, Hextech Gunblade, and Guardian Angel. Similar to Brand in the early game, you should place Aurelion Sol in the front line to continuously activate the Dragon Tribe effect.

If you choose to play around Olaf, rolling for Samira at level 8 is extremely important. Besides activating the Butcher trait, Samira also plays a role in cleaning up the battlefield after Olaf deals damage. You need to have this champion to ensure victory in the late game.

If you want to play a “weird” strategy, hyper-rolling Tristana or Brand is also an option to consider. However, you should only use these champions as tools to secure a winning streak in the early game. The Dragon Tribe composition still relies on strong carries in the late game to secure victories.
