Celestial
A notable change in patch 11.12 of Teamfight Tactics is that the base critical damage has been nerfed. Therefore, champions that deal damage based on attack effects or do not rely on critical hits have been more favored in this version. A prime example is Varus in the Celestial composition, who even has the ability to buff damage based on attacks for allies.

In addition to Varus, Leona is also a strong unit in the Celestial comp with the Rage of Vengeance. This item allows Leona to deal considerable damage by effectively utilizing her incredibly tanky nature. To successfully operate this composition, you should adopt a slow roll strategy at level 6 to upgrade both Leona and Varus to 3 stars. If that’s not possible, you still have a chance to win late game with Vel’Koz or Kayle.

Demon – Rebirth
With Soraka not being nerfed, the Demon – Rebirth composition can still help you rank up steadily at the moment. The difficulty with this composition compared to the previous version is that Soraka can feel quite weak before she has enough items. With the crit damage nerfed, her damage output when she first acquires Infinity Edge or Tear of the Goddess will not be overwhelming. Only when you have both items can Soraka deal enough damage to “carry the team”.

Therefore, you should look for a secondary carry alongside Soraka during the build, such as LeBlanc or Vladimir, to ensure damage in the mid-game. If you have multiple Rods of Ages and Tears of the Goddess, you should combine them to create the Archangel’s Staff (both regular and Demon versions) for Vladimir. This item will help Vladimir survive fights for a long time and create space for Soraka to freely cast spells in the backline.

Yasuo – Spirit Mage
It’s no exaggeration to say that the Yasuo – Spirit Mage composition is currently the most comprehensive team comp in Teamfight Tactics. Players can apply both reroll and money-saving strategies when building this comp with extremely high effectiveness. If you roll slowly at level 7, you can upgrade Yasuo to 3 stars and turn him into a formidable carry. Keep in mind that the “God” from season 5 can deal incredibly high true damage on hits, so Yasuo isn’t afraid of compositions with high armor/magic resistance.

In case you are extremely “unlucky”, the option of leveling up to 8 and relying on Mordekaiser as the main carry is still a very effective choice. This versatility has made the Yasuo – Spirit Mage team a very effective ranking strategy in the meta of patch 11.12. The advice is to pursue this composition if you can combine the Runaan’s Hurricane and the Rapid Firecannon. These are very important items for Yasuo in the role of dealing damage.
