Yasuo – Undead
After the update of Season 5.5 of Teamfight Tactics, the Dragonborn tribe was removed, causing Yasuo to lose a considerable amount of skill damage. To address this issue, experts have considered combining Yasuo with the Undead tribe to take advantage of the strong resilience and control of the Mutant Undead, allowing “The God” to deal damage more safely. With the presence of a Legion – Undead unit, Kalista, the combination of Yasuo and this tribe becomes even more reasonable.

Besides the Undead tribe, you should also aim for 4 Mage units to ensure that Yasuo has enough resilience and damage output. You should buy as many Sejuani as possible since this champion will play the main tank role in the mid-game. With the addition of the Brawler system in Season 5.5, Sejuani proves to be the best tank unit that the Mage tribe currently has.

Yasuo – Armored
In addition to Yasuo, an important piece of the Mage tribe is Lee Sin. With a strong area damage skill and a slowing effect, Lee Sin is a key unit to help players achieve a winning streak. With strong main units like Yasuo and Lee Sin already available, players can improve their resilience by adding Nautilus, Jax, and Rell at the end of the game to gain a significant amount of armor from the Armored tribe.

Of course, “The God”‘s role in this composition remains as the main damage dealer. Using durable units that can share the damage burden, such as Lee Sin and Jax, only makes this composition harder to counter. A tip for operating this composition is that players should save Golden Spatula or acquire the Assassin Emblem for Lee Sin if possible. The fact that Lee Sin can soften the opponent’s backline will make it incredibly easy for Yasuo to clean up the enemy team.

Yasuo – Legion
This is considered a “full attack” composition around Yasuo, as this team-comp only has one true tank, Sejuani. In return, the damage that Yasuo can deal with this team-comp is extremely high, with additional attack speed from the Legion system. Given the risky nature of the Yasuo – Legion composition, it is recommended that you only aim for this team-comp if you cannot purchase Armored or Undead units in the mid-game.

However, the Yasuo – Legion composition is expected to become an extremely hot playstyle in the upcoming patch 11.16 when Riot revamps the Legion system. Specifically, in the upcoming version, the Legion system will always provide champions with healing without requiring them to cast spells as they currently do. This will allow Legion champions like Riven, Yasuo, and Draven to endure team fights better without being overly reliant on items.
