6 Legion
In the recent patch 11.14 of Teamfight Tactics, Riot made some notable buffs to the Legion system by increasing attack speed at the 4 and 6 champion thresholds. However, this change is not enough to make the Legion team stronger, and this composition still proves to be extremely weak. Indeed, despite the added attack speed in patch 11.14, the issues with the Legion team remain unresolved as its units are always easily taken down in the late game.

With the meta revolving around high thresholds like Celestial, Requiem, and Divine, the defensive or offensive capabilities of this composition are exceedingly significant. If your team lacks sufficient durability, losing matches will be very likely. Meanwhile, the effect of the Legion team only increases attack speed and regenerates a bit of health, resulting in extremely low defensive capabilities. Not to mention, the key units like Yasuo and Draven from the Legion team are fiercely contested.
Brawler – Dragon Tribe
Theoretically, with Sett being buffed in both base health and skill damage in patch 11.14, the Brawler – Dragon Tribe team should significantly improve. In practice, this composition has seen a slight increase in strength but still lacks the power to compete in the patch 11.14 meta. To successfully operate this team, you must be extremely lucky to obtain the 3 Dragon Tribe threshold early and quickly upgrade Sett to 3 stars.

If you cannot achieve this, it is best to skip the Brawler – Dragon Tribe team. With 4-cost carry units that deal significant damage being highly favored in the current meta, Sett struggles to provide enough durability with just the Brawler effect. Once Sett is taken down, the damage output from other units is severely limited. Perhaps players should consider using Zyra as a carry instead of Sett when playing the Dragon Tribe to rank up more effectively in the current meta.
8 Spirit Mages
The truth is that despite Darius being buffed significantly in skill damage, the 8 Spirit Mage composition still proves too weak. With a playstyle that requires holding onto a lot of gold to level up while still using a 1-cost unit like Vladimir in the late game, you are essentially “handicapping” your opponents by giving them one extra unit after level 8. Furthermore, having to play 8 Spirit Mages prevents units like Yasuo and Aphelios from activating their system effects, thereby reducing their damage output.

Therefore, the recommendation here is to stop at 4 Spirit Mages and supplement with other units that are more useful. You can definitely use champions like Lulu, Taric, Kindred, Mordekaiser… to gain additional strong defensive effects and increase damage output. This is a far more optimal approach than using somewhat “useless” units like Vladimir and Sejuani at 8 Spirit Mages for a damage and shield output that is not significantly better.
