After a long wait, one of the most prestigious teams in the world of League of Legends – T1 has finally debuted at LCK Summer 2022. This is seen as a much more challenging journey for Faker and his teammates. Even though they are the reigning champions of the LCK, T1 has finally ended their unbeaten streak. And surely, other teams have thoroughly studied T1 to find ways to counter the team still maintaining their unbeaten streak in the highest League of Legends tournament in Korea.

And the reality matched what many experts predicted ahead of the tournament. T1 did not have an easy match against Nongshim RedForce. Even though in game 1, the pick of Yasuo for Keria and Gumayusi’s Senna surprised NS and the audience alike. Game 1 was completely in T1’s favor right from the laning phase. T1’s familiar aggressive playstyle from early on in LCK Spring 2022 was once again on display. NS simply could not withstand it in this game.
However, in the second game, things were no longer simple for T1. NS showed they were not an easy opponent to deal with as they continuously put T1 in numerous difficulties. Nevertheless, what NS players lacked was making the right decisions when they had the advantage. Even though they had the third Elder Dragon and almost wiped out T1’s team, with just Gumayusi and Oner alone, T1 managed to defend against NS’s onslaught. The NS players were pushed back by T1 and ended the game in shock for the audience.
Witnessing NS’s defeat and T1’s victory, the League of Legends community was left astonished. NS was very close to victory. In fact, they just needed to handle their opportunities more accurately to finish the game and equalize the score with T1. Unfortunately for NS, at the crucial moment, their experienced players made mistakes. And T1 had no trouble punishing their opponents’ errors.

With a 2-0 victory, T1 has had a successful debut. However, it cannot be denied that they also made mistakes in several situations. This will be a crucial factor that T1’s opponents can exploit whenever facing Faker and his teammates. T1 needs to minimize mistakes like in game 2 against NS if they do not want to lose the opportunity to compete for the LCK Summer 2022 championship this time. Because teams like DK and Gen.G will definitely be much more careful and resilient than NS.
