FlyQuest Coach Reveals Secrets About T1 and Gen.G
After the conclusion of the Quarterfinals at Worlds 2024, FlyQuest has been recognized by the League of Legends community and experts as the team with the most impressive performance. Until now, FLY is the only team to have defeated Gen.G twice in a single BO5 match. Following their journey, FLY’s coach shared some surprising insights about the remaining teams at Worlds 2024, especially T1 and Gen.G, the most notable matchup in the upcoming Semifinals.

Accordingly, the coach from LCS believes that T1 will be the champion. However, he also noted the recent scrim results of Faker and his teammates: “What Gen.G used to overcome us may not be very effective when facing T1. But I won’t assert anything too firmly. I heard that the scrim score between Gen.G and T1 is 20-1 in favor of Gen.G. Therefore, their (Gen.G) struggles against us may just be due to not having played under such pressure for a while.”

T1 and Gen.G, which is the stronger name?
According to Coach FLY, Bilibili Gaming might defeat Weibo Gaming, but T1 will be the champion. This coach holds T1 in high regard, stating that this might be the strongest version of the defending champion from Worlds 2023. However, FLY’s coach Nukeduck also stated: “If Gen.G understands the core playstyle of the opponent, they will be very hard to defeat.”

In the fifth match between Gen.G and FLY, the LCK representative did not give their opponent a chance for early skirmishes but instead focused on macro play and control. Of course, in this regard, Gen.G is not inferior to any team.

Actual scrim results are generally only for reference as teams typically do not go all out. Additionally, it cannot be used as a bridge to compare matches with each other. However, T1 is in very good form, and if they can overcome Gen.G, ending their losing streak against this opponent and then claiming the championship, that might truly be the greatest title T1 has ever won in this ZOFGK era.
