Recently, as known, GAM Esports and Slayder have taken steps to terminate their contract. This is considered one of the shortest tenures for a Marksman in the history of the reigning champion VCS. This is because even past players who were always considered less skilled than Slayder, such as Divkid, EasyLove, or Sty1e, have played for GAM for a long time. While Slayder only joined the black-and-yellow team from VCS Hoang Hôn 2023.

However, after Slayder’s departure, there has been a lot of chatter surrounding the situation. Specifically, after former coach Tinikun revealed that Slayder might still want to go abroad, the Marksman suggested that there are “hidden circumstances” within GAM that only those involved would know. Recently, Slayder shared his thoughts during his stream about GAM and his relationship with the reigning VCS champion.
According to Slayder, GAM only wants to play around the top lane and focuses on Top – Jungle – Mid. He also affirmed, “GAM and Slayder are not compatible. With GAM’s playstyle, whether Slayder is there or not makes no difference.” However, instead of receiving sympathy from the online community, Slayder faced significant backlash from VCS fans across various forums. Even during his stream, there were conflicting opinions forcing the player to limit comments.

According to many arguments, the basic mic-checks of GAM have shown that Slayder often fails to connect in communication with his teammates, even overstepping Levi’s authority in many unclear situations. Furthermore, Levi’s reluctance to share resources with the bot lane is partly due to an unsuitable meta and partly because everyone can see that Slayder frequently loses lane. Allocating resources to a losing lane may not necessarily turn the game around but surely puts a winning lane in trouble.

Moreover, Slayder’s ego has always been quite high; in the past, he has made numerous comments directed at the community when faced with criticism. Therefore, coupled with a season with GAM that did not meet expectations and recent “petulant” remarks, Slayder has lost quite a bit of support in the eyes of many VCS fans.
