As known, LCK players, especially T1, have previously struggled to find scrim partners during Worlds. A notable instance was in the 2021 season when Edward Gaming was the only LPL team while there were three LCK teams in the semifinals. Similarly, the same situation occurred in Worlds 2022. This resulted in T1 not having the opportunity to train with teams from their own region. On the other hand, scrimming with LPL teams (of comparable skill) risks revealing their strategies.

At Worlds 2023, T1 is the last hope for LCK in the tournament, as Dplus KIA, Gen.G, and KT Rolster have all been eliminated. Gen.G, of course, was the most disappointing team, being considered a top championship contender. Therefore, the LCK teams have been “enthusiastic” in assisting T1 during their preparations. Notably, Kwangdong Freecs has been the most active in this regard. Coach CvMax shared this, and T1’s coach Tom expressed gratitude to the LCK teams that supported T1 in preparation for the critical semifinal matches.

However, there is one team that the players are reportedly not allowed to scrim with T1, and that is KT. According to a recently released clip from LCK fans, players like Lehends, Cuzz, and Kiin had planned to practice with T1. Even Bdd wanted to join in, although he chimed in later in the chat. However, the practice could not take place, and Lehends himself was quite puzzled about the matter.

According to many LCK viewers, this may be due to the long-standing rivalry between KT and T1 within the LCK community. Furthermore, they have been direct competitors for titles from the Summer Split until now, which makes KT less enthusiastic about training with T1. However, another reason mentioned is that KT has just concluded their journey at Worlds 2023. This is a time for the players to rest and prepare for their future in the new season.

Nevertheless, the fact that KT players also want to support T1 shows that the entire LCK is rallying around Faker and his teammates. They are the last hope for LCK and are on the path to the hall of legends in what has been one of the most tumultuous seasons for this team.
