In the history of LCK in general and SKT T1/T1 in particular, there are numerous names that have become synonymous with success in various roles of a League of Legends team. For example, when mentioning the Jungle – Mid Lane duo, we must refer to Faker – Bengi, or when discussing the Top Lane creators, the legendary captain MaRin cannot be left out… But of course, associated with the two most successful years of SKT T1, which made them the first and only team to date to defend the championship title, we cannot overlook the Super ADC Bang.

However, recently, several veteran casters from Riot, including Drakos, Azael, Kobe, and Chronicler, have had discussions surrounding the topic of World Championship. One of the points of interest for these casters was who has the ability and qualification to be ranked as the G.O.A.T in the ADC role of League of Legends. More precisely, the casters aimed to create a lineup of the greatest players in their positions throughout the history of League of Legends. And this time, Bang was completely “forgotten”.

The casters started with Ruler, as they all agreed that this player is currently the best in the ADC position but was eliminated from the 2023 World Championship (after a loss to T1). Next, players mentioned included Uzi, Deft – established names in the ADC role. Even Wolf – a former teammate of Bang and considered the perfect combo with Bang was brought up. However, the former star of SKT T1, one of the players who defined the standard Ezreal play in LCK was overlooked.
This led to female host Jeesun Park, who is also Bang’s fiancée, to explode with anger. She expressed her frustration by retweeting the post with the content: “I have never spoken on this topic, but the fact that they mention Ruler/Deft/Uzi (even Wolf) without considering Bang is just ridiculous. He may have retired, but he is still a two-time world champion out of three finals he reached in the World Championship. I am not saying he is better than anyone, but he deserves more respect.”

Clearly, the frustration of the stunning LCK host is justified. One of the four casters involved in the discussion even had to acknowledge that Bang deserved to be mentioned and expressed regret for the misunderstanding. The audience also strongly supported the female host, even praising her for being a solid support for Bang.

Bang is a legend of LCK and SKT T1/T1, and that is beyond debate. Moreover, compared to the aforementioned figures, Bang is by no means lacking in titles throughout his competitive career. Clearly, he deserves respect and a solid place in the hall of legends of the professional League of Legends scene.
